End of The Year Reflection

This year was really fast and it is the last term of the year.This year was the best year ever.When it is the last week of the year we have to finish it off properly.This term my teacher was Miss lavakula,Mr goodwin and Mr somervell

This year in reading I moved from 8.5  to 10.5 I made so much improvement because when I was reading at 8.5 I was going to reading support and maybe that's where I got my good reading from.Next year im ameing for 12.5 and I hope I get there.

In writing this year I don't know which writing was the best but I think it was in the first term and the third term I got the best writing that I ever did.Next term im gonna try get

good writing every term.

In maths I'm in the exponents that is the second to highest group in our math class.

In term 1 I didn't know what to do but then when I got put into a group and then we started doing some work and I got the use of it and it got easier and easier and the hader

but then I got to do it and it was easy.Next time I am ameing for the hieghst group.

When lunch time is finished we come inside and wait for the teacher to give us the instructions.For inquiry We can do math whizz and  we learned about The pt england way.The next term we were doing tinkering tools and toys and then it was trade and enterprise now it is pes survivors.

Next year I am aiming for the highest group in the year 7 and 8 group.When I am a year 7 I am going to miss the year 5 and 6 block.

WALT:This video is about carnivorous plants that means they eat meat.The venus fly trap works like a mouse trap but the venus fly trap is more exciting because when a insect crawls past it and as soon as it touched the hairs the trap closes shut.

Camp bentzon 2015

Wow I can't believe that was a week of camp it was really fast.On the first day of camp we unloaded the bags from the ferry.When we finished unloaded the ferry we saw a big building, play ground and a volleyball court.

Mr Somerville said to us when the bugle blows that might mean we are going for a run or going to eat.Mr J blew the bugle we all lined up in our group.Our group names were Kawau, Mansion, Bentzon and katz.

We saw a  man coming walking straight to us he told us his name and his name was peter and woman named erin.Mr somerville said that they were the boss of the camp.When he finished talking to us we went strait to our hike.

The hike was really bad everyone was complaining but we still managed to get to the top to the other side.Then we had to come back the way we came and it was really steep.Once we finished the hike we got a bit of free time there were heaps of options one was playing on the playground second was vollyball court and playing with the sports gear.

At camp it was really cool only if I could live there.When I we got there I thought it was going to be boring but instead it was extremely super super cool.

Weet Bix Eating Contest

Three, two, one yelled my ,teacher,. This morning team four went outdoors to do a eating contest.

First we had to get a partner than one of you’s have to go at the back of your partner and put you hand threw their hands like one person put there hand on their hips and one puts there hand threw the person's hand and then you wait for your teacher to bring the food.

When Miss Lavakula finished giving us the food we counted down from three so three, two, one everyone rushed up to the plates and

every thing went wrong there was food all over  every ones face. Once they finished eating the weetbix with cream they were on to the apple.

They finished the apples and when they looked at me their face was a mess.

Once we all finished we had to go and wash our face but when I washed my face it felt like slime and it smelled like rotten cream. When we finished we all went down on the mat ready for our fitness.

My favorite part was when we got all messy.

When we finished I felt like going for another round and we did. I got to feed my freind weetbix and cream and also apple then we went and watched a video of the film we took.

NZ Native Animal Report

Kiwis are New Zealand native bird and it is also an icon of the flag and other stuff.

Diet: The kiwi eats earthworms, snails, cockroaches, larvas, beetles, caterpillars, crickets, wetas, centipedes, frogs, spiders and also chrysalis.

Habitat: Kiwis make their habitats in the ground just like the tuatara. It makes a little burrow but it's just like a bear's den. Then they gather feathers for its nest to make it nice and warm.

Characteristics: Some kiwis are really gentle but if you get on its nerves then it will probably get aggressive. sometimes it can be nice and calm.

Description: A kiwi has two legs, a long beak and it is colored gray and whitish. A kiwi has a relative that is called the emu but they look the same but one of them is really big.

Other Interesting Fact: Kiwis can weigh up to 3.3 kg. Kiwis

have their nose on the end of their beaks. Kiwis are nocturnal that mens that they come out at night and sleep in the day.

In class we read a book about a bird that was greedy and bossey and then these other birds
came and asked tui if they could live in there house but he did not let them live there.

Holiday

In the holidays I went to Parakai Springs with a holiday program and it was a long until we reached our location. When we were driving to the pools we saw the aventure trees that’s where we went during our last holiday. When we got inside we saw two hydro s slides and I was the first one to try it out.

When I jumped in the pool I thought it was going to be cold because it was an outdoor pool. As my feet first touch the water it was really cold so instead of swimming I went to the hydra slide. I grabbed a board and ran up the stairs and I waited for the other people in front of me to go first.

I jumped on to the board and I went really fast. When I was up to a turn I quickly stood up on the board and it was like I was surfing.. I was still going but then I saw a bit of sun light and it got bigger and bigger until I saw the end of the slide then

I skimmed on the board.

When I came out of the slide I went into the indoor pool for a swim and it was nice and warm. After a little swim I went to have some lunch.When I finished my lunch

I went to my bag and grabbed my goggles for another swim at the outdoor pool.

This week we are writing about our holiday and the immersion assembly but we were not aloud to do the immersion assembly writing because our teacher wanted us to right our holiday writing:)

The Blind Fold Game

Have you ever played a blind fold game before? If you haven't then you should have a go.

Today our class had a go at playing the blindfold game. First we sat in a circle and waited for our teacher to give us the instructions. She said that you had to put on a blindfold and  wait for a container.

When she finished giving us the instructions, we got to pick a plastic color ball to put inside the container, but it wasn't easy. Our teacher spread out the colored balls so we had to get the balls that we picked and get all of them into the bucket.

When the game started we raced up to the balls and tried  to get all the colors. When I went to get the blue balls, I felt something hit my head and it felt like a ball. Then I just carried on getting the blue balls and it was fun.

If we got to play that game again it would be really cool. Did you know that there was more blindfold games and it was fun today.

Walt: I am thinking about my purpose and reader by planning my recount.

We are learning how to write recounts which are easy to read and interesting for our readers.

Butter Butter Butter

Butter butter butter have you made homemade butter? You should, it tastes really nice. When we made butter today we put some cream and a pinch of salt into a jar. We poured some cream into the jar and we put the lid  around it and then we passed it around. Once Miss Garden gave us the jar we had to give it two shakes.

First we got some cream and poured it into a jar with a pinch of salt to finish the work. Then you put the lid on and give it heaps of shakes. After a couple of shake we open the jar and you will see whipped cream that means you're half way there, When you finished giving it more shakes you open the jar and you will see a solid yellow blob.

After making the butter we tasted it and it tasted divine . When I took a bite it felt soft and mushy but it tast really nice. To me it tasted like creamy milk. But luckily we didn't have to eat it without bread. We had some bread to spread the butter onto. It tasted so nice it was melting in my mouth.

I am so happy we made butter to day it tasted so divine.

My trade group is called gunners. We make crossbows mini gunners and guns. We made 13 PT in our group and we managed to add it to our bank and I made 19 pts.

Grass to Glass - the last 4 steps

When the milk comes out of the warm pipes it goes through a cooler then the milk is cooled. The milkman comes to take the milk, he attaches a pipe that takes out all the milk. The milk gets measured and that tells the farmer how much money he gets.

The milk that comes out of the cow has lots of cream and if you do not want cream it goes to the separator to get the, milk and cream  separated and it makes all types of milk the green milk has no cream the blue on has some cream.

Once it goes through the separator it has a bit of germs then boiled up to 72 celcius to get the,bacteria  killed by pasteurising the milk.When it is finished pasteurising it is good to drink.

When the milk is finished plastering they put it in bottles for you to drink.

Have you ever been to a holiday program? If I was you I will probably go.

In the holidays I went to the holiday program we get to play pool table on rainy days and in the morning when you arrive.In the morning I arrived at the center and no one was there it was only the helpers and some kid my age.I went to stand in line to play on pool table.

When it was lunch time me and my friends Joe,Azua,John

and Junior played rugby league with my ball.When Junior

passed me the ball Wesley was in front of me then I looked

and they were all in front of me so I decided to run it up strait and they all tried to tackle me but I felt like getting a try so I busted out of there hands and got a run away.

After league we all went inside to play bingo.If you want

to win you need to listen to the speaker.Instead of numbers

it was pictures of the moon and stuff.When we started the game the speaker said b t-shirt and I had a b t-shirt so

I grabbed a counter and covered up the t-shirt and I kept

on playing until I said bingo I went up to get my prize and it was yummy.

When bingo was over I went to the pool table and once I got there it was already my turn to play pool.I picked up a

que and I tried to spread it out when I was breaking.Once it brook it was Joe's turn to shoot he got the 7 in and he said it was his lucky number.

When it was home time we all played cards.On that day it was fun for me because I won 13 cards off joe.

It was cool because we got to do lots of stuff.
